What a wonderful morning!

I’ve been signing, wrapping and addressing 25 children’s books for the Book Fairies project #greenbookfairies !

The books all have my previous edition covers — same story, just a different look — and they’ll now be finding new homes with young readers.

My pile of spare copies has halved, and I feel very happy knowing they’ll be enjoyed rather than sitting in storage.

I tucked a Lucy Morgan Adventures bookmark inside each one too — a little extra treat.

Thank you to Grace at Softwood Books for introducing me to the Book Fairies. It’s a truly lovely initiative.

Good news: children and young people are reading more! 📚

Recent studies by the National Literacy Trust show a steady rise in reading enjoyment among young people. This is hugely encouraging, as recent years have shown some of the lowest figures for children reading. But there’s still a way to go.
