The Hidden Cave

A Children’s Ocean Adventure About Courage, Leadership, and Finding Your Voice
Lucy Morgan Adventure Stories • Book 3 • Ages 8–13+

Lucy Morgan has learned how to be brave beneath the waves.
Now she must learn how to be heard.

Lucy, Jack, and Solomon are back—and their adventures are more dangerous than ever.

While exploring the underwater reefs and wild landscapes of Pontus Island, the friends uncover a mystery tied to long‑buried secrets from the past. What begins as curiosity soon turns into a risky investigation, leading them into unfamiliar and hazardous environments that test their courage, judgement, and trust in one another.

Helping the local dive instructor, Dan, has always been their favourite thing to do — but when the children start exploring alone, they find themselves facing dangers they never expected.

As new threats to ocean life emerge, Lucy is forced to make her hardest choices yet. Speaking up to protect marine animals isn’t easy—especially when powerful adults refuse to listen. Will anyone hear her? And how far is Lucy willing to go to defend the underwater world she loves?

This is adventure with consequences—where bravery means taking responsibility, and silence is no longer an option.

In this gripping third adventure, readers will discover:

• Leadership under pressure and making difficult decisions
• Uncovering hidden truths and solving dangerous mysteries
• Protecting ocean wildlife when the stakes are higher than ever
• Trust, loyalty, and teamwork pushed to the limit
• Finding your voice—and using it when it matters most

All revealed through action, discovery, and high‑stakes moments.

Written by real‑life ocean explorer and educator Gloria Barnett (known to many UK children as the WeirdFish Lady), The Hidden Cave blends fast‑paced storytelling with authentic marine science, encouraging young readers to think critically about the natural world—and their role in protecting it.

Perfect for readers aged 8–13+, independent reading, classrooms, and fans of action‑packed series with strong, thoughtful characters.

  • Literary Titan GOLD – 5‑Star Award

Teacher Review

The author manages to combine an exciting adventure with the environmental concerns a young girl has about ocean creatures. A very current theme and beautiful written.

Original Concept - Exceptional Story

It is an original concept with subject matter children can relate to. Children will be fascinated by the underwater world of beautiful creatures and the dangers of diving. They’ll relate to the friendships and compassion, using the characters as role models. An exceptional story.
