Logan the Lobster

Fishy Tales Storybook (Book 1)

Logan the Lobster
FishyTales Storybooks — For children aged 3–6

Logan is different from the other little lobsters. Will they be his friends? Will they play with him?

Join Logan beneath the waves in a heartwarming story about being different, belonging and the true meaning of friendship.

For young children discovering how to make friends and understand their feelings, Logan the Lobster offers a gentle starting point for conversations about kindness, accepting differences and helping others feel included.

Share the story together and explore questions such as: What makes a good friend? How might someone feel when they are left out? And how can we help others feel welcome?

An underwater adventure with opportunities to talk, learn and discover.

Created especially for children aged 3–6, the FishyTales Storybooks combine engaging animal stories with an introduction to life beneath the ocean waves. Through their characters and adventures, the books explore friendship, kindness, courage and feelings in ways young children can relate to.

Logan the Lobster is an inviting choice for parents, grandparents and nursery teachers to read aloud, and for shared reading with Year 1 children who are beginning to explore books and the natural world.

Discover more with “Science Stuff”

At the back of the book, a special “Science Stuff” page gives adults and children another way to explore together. Its “Did You Know?” facts introduce real ocean life, encouraging questions and curiosity beyond the story.

Written by real-life underwater explorer Gloria Barnett, this story brings together friendship, imagination and a love of the sea.

Dive into Logan’s world and discover why being different needn’t stand in the way of friendship.

Reviews

Grandma's Review

'As a Grannie, my Grand daughters like me to read to them and they thoroughly enjoyed Logan's tale of woe and then happiness. A good tale of being different and being left out of any fun until his value was recognised and be became a very useful team player. Through it all, Gloria cleverly spins a story of the ways of spiny lobsters with some science stuff at the end. A good book for children and as an educational tool in primary schools.'
